Goat Cheese & Goldews

Goat cheese is the perfect match for Peppadew peppers. Peppadew & Goldew peppers are a sweet piquant pepper from South Africa. They are the first truly new fruit to be launched on the world market since Kiwi Fruit 30 years ago.

Peppadews are quite mild with a unique spicy flavor. I've used them in a relish for fish, rolled with cheddar cheese and croissants, as a topping for sandwich and now a simple goat cheese stuffed Goldew.

These gems can be found at Central Market on the olive bar and in jars in the pickle aisle. Give them a try!

Goat Cheese & Goldews

INGREDIENTS

  • Montchevre Garlic & Herb goat cheese
  • Goldew peppers

DIRECTIONS

Bring the goat cheese to room temperature and stuff each Goldew with a teaspoon of goat cheese. Serve with lightly toasted crostini.
